Successful promotion poolThe first promotion pool for qualifying our own up-and-coming young executives has come to a successful close after two years. At the final event on Tuesday, Jörg Klaus Fischer also welcomed the twelve new members of the next promotion pool.
Aiming to substantially increase the share of executives from our own rank and file, CEO Klaus Fischer initiated the promotion pool two years ago. What prompted his decision was the often long and protracted learning curve which newly recruited executives have to go through before they are familiar with our corporate culture, our mission statement and the fischer ProcessSystem (fPS). Deputy CEO Jörg Klaus Fischer sees the promotion pool as a good opportunity and instrument to overcome the lack of executives in a number of national companies. “This is why I’m very grateful that my father got this promotion program on its way”, he said when handing out the graduation certificates to the members, standing in for his father. Some members, he continued, had meanwhile taken on executive duties: “This is certainly also an incentive for the new pool”. The new two-year promotion program will also demand a lot from the twelve new members who have been picked in a stringent selection procedure. Next to the usual subjects such as economy, personality development, social skills and leadership, there will also be specific and personal support for the pool members. The backbone of the qualification will again be the mission statement, the management manual and fPS. Jörg Klaus Fischer stressed that fPS should by no means be seen as a hotchpotch of methods and tools: “Our fPS has the clear target of generating profit. This is the yardstick for all actions and measures“. Finding and developing one’s own ways and means is also a central feature: “After all, anything else wouldn’t be innovative”.
